If fishes gave wishes,

I could save my pennies.

Wouldn’t toss them in the water

Hoping for the many things I think I need.

I could spend ten dollars on a thousand dreams.

Just throwing out the change I’ve got

for the change I want.

Well, I'll tell you mister,

You just get a tail

And glue it on my sister.

Light a candle

(it’s better if it’s red)

Burn a yellow butterfly

(it’s better if it’s dead)

Gather up the ashes

Mix them in some milk

Water the seed of a cottonwood tree

(Be sure your socks are silk)

Wait a week, brush your teeth, be sure your love is real.
